Established Galvanizing Process
6) Pre-Flux
Zinc Ammonium Chloride (80'c - 100'c)
Pre-fluxing. The cleaned steel structure is dipped in hot flux solution. (Zinc Ammonium Chloride). The flux solution removes the oxide film which forms on the highly reactive steel surface after acid cleaning and prevents further oxidation. Ensures that the steel surface is chemically clean before its immersion in molten zinc.

7) Galvanizing Bath
SHG 99.995 Percent Zinc
Molten Zinc 445'C - 450'C
Hot Dip Galvanizing. The dried steel structure is dipped in Molten Zinc Bath (445'C - 450'C). On immersion, the steel structure is wetted by the molten zinc/ zinc iron ally layer on its surface. The period of immersion depends solely on size and weight of the articles.
